Windows Launcher
The launcher installs, updates, and launches the game. It is the recommended way
to install the game for Windows. No administrator privileges are required.
Open PowerShell (right-click > 'Open in Terminal') and enter .\sheowder.exe
-Uninstall to uninstall the game and its dependencies.
Warning
The Windows installer is a convenience executable that leverages the Scoop package manager. Do not use the installer if you are a Scoop user.
Scoop Manifests
- Base Game
- Standard Plugins
Optional plugins that are included with the standard installation. Includes controller support.
Standalone Jar
- Requires a Java Runtime Environment, minimum version 25. Most computers that have Java installed do not meet the minimum version requirement.
- You must run the game with OpenGL for smooth animations. If you double-click
the jar to run it, this argument will not be included. Instead, use
java -Dsun.java2d.opengl=true -jar Sheowder.jarin a command line to start the game. - Please see the game's recommended JVM arguments for more information
(available to view in the source code, in the scoop manifest, or in the
PKGBUILD).
Resource Specifications
- CPU: processors suitable for running Windows 10 should be able to run the game smoothly (~2003-).
- RAM: Typical usage is around ~340 MB.
